I've spent over a decade working at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, inside companies ranging from fast-growing scale-ups to established enterprises. I've seen what works, what gets wasted, and where the gap usually is.
The gap is almost never technology. It's strategy. Businesses invest in tools before they've decided what they want those tools to do, and they end up with expensive infrastructure that nobody uses, or AI features bolted onto processes that were already broken.
Node 9 exists to fix that. I work with business owners and directors to build clear, practical strategies before anything gets built or bought. The work is grounded in your business, not in what's fashionable.
Background and approach
Where I've worked
My background spans data engineering, analytics, and technology leadership across procurement, professional services, and food services. I've held senior individual contributor and leadership roles, and I've advised boards on data and technology decisions.
How I work
I'm direct and I write in plain English. Every recommendation I make is one I'd stand behind in a room full of sceptics. I don't sell tools, I don't take referral fees, and I don't write strategies designed to keep me engaged indefinitely.
What I won't do
